We all knew
the day would come
When we would
lose our youth
No longer naive,
but still very ignorant
Of a world’s machinations
domestic and foreign
Biopharma, MedTech . . . Tech-Tech
Greed, envy, consume, consume, consume
*MUNCH MUNCH MUNCH MUNCH*
Can’t fill the void –
won’t pray til doom
Where did laughter and humility go?
Out the window, as we sit and stare at screens
Gripping our spleens, tainted by lab-made foods
Population growth—societal collapse
Waiting for the moment to lapse
Breath deep into the bottom of the lungs
The Game of Life has just begun.
